South Broward is home to a vibrant, growing Jewish community. Here is a general overview for families considering a move or visiting for Shabbat.
Minyanim
Besides our own daily minyanim, the Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale area has many Sephardic and Ashkenazi synagogues within walking or short driving distance.
Kosher Food
The area offers kosher supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and caterers under reliable local supervision. Ask the Rabbi for current recommendations.
Eruv
Parts of Hollywood are covered by a community eruv. Status is checked weekly — always confirm before Shabbat.
Schools
Families can choose from several Jewish day schools, yeshivot and preschools serving the Broward community.
Mikvah
Mikvaot for women and men are available in the area. Contact us privately for details.
